Llao Llao officially launched in the Philippines back in 2016, and it’s been on a tear ever since. As of August 2025, the brand has reached a major milestone: 100 stores nationwide. That’s a massive leap from just 80 stores at the end of 2024.

Personally never bothered to try it due to the lines but since I have in 2025, Ive had it three times. I was introduced to the Biscoff sauce (apparently made from Bicoff, heavy cream, butter, salt, vanilla and yes more sugar (light brown) and have been ordering the same one since. It isn't vey different from the froyo options during the early 2000s craze and reminds me of another yogurt place I've visited a few times: BLK 513 because I apparently love to eat "uling" (charcoal).

When Originally founded in Murcia, Spain over 15 years ago, Llao Llao has evolved into a global frozen yogurt brand with a distinctly Asian footprint. As of June 2024, it operates over 410 stores—more than half of which are in Asia, up from 217 out of 396 at the end of 2023. Asian markets now contribute over 55% of international sales, surpassing Europe (40%) and Latin America.

With a presence in 25+ countries, its strongest markets include Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and the Philippines. The brand’s popularity stems from its premium ingredients: 53% Galician skimmed milk and 33% handmade Cantabrian yogurt.

Founder Pedro Espinosa credits Asia’s mall-loving, social consumer base for Llao Llao’s visibility and rapid growth in the region.
