Filinvest Central Park (Alabang)

If you’ve been to Filinvest City Alabang during the late afternoon, you may have noticed runners, joggers, and teens along the inner avenues. They are likely to congregate at this park. There’s a four-lane road, with part of it being elevated, widened, and featuring a covered activity area along with a large Filinvest logo. Filinvest City’s Central Park is situated at Spectrum Midway. Central Park can specifically be found within the Spectrum District, intersected by the Spectrum Linear Park. The park stretches along Spectrum Midway, positioned between Commerce Avenue and Parkway Avenue.

I went to the area to fetch my daughter, and to my surprise, I encountered a gathering of people reminiscent of city roads closed to traffic on Sundays in certain areas of Metro Manila. Keep in mind I was there on a Wednesday evening. I witnessed young and old engaged and random activities like having a picnic in the pocket parks, dancing, running, skateboarding, cycling, playing racket things and a whole host of activities. The place was well-lit and secured by filinvest's mobil and guards. The place just had a fun and energetic vibe even if some folks (couples and friends) were just there to chill.

Unsurprisingly, Starbucks is already there and is full to the brink. Mercato Food stalls were also setup along the Linear Park where food kiosks were doing grill baby grill.

If you looking for a place away from the hustle and bustle of the city and the usual mall and dining centers to maybe get some fresh air, relax and even break a sweat, this easy-going, universally-welcoming corner of Alabang may be your perfect escape.
